First and foremost, I am a daughter of the Most High and a faithful servant of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. But I also identify as a wife, sister, friend, teacher, and “dog mom” of a German Shepherd Dog named Duke.
16 years ago, I accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life and have been doing my best to walk in His way ever since. As I matured in my faith, I learned the importance of my role in advancing His kingdom and began to wonder what spiritual gift God had given me to do it (1 Peter 4:10 NLT). After much prayer and wise counsel, I believe God revealed the gift of exhortation or encouragement through the written word. This blog is a response to a calling I believe God placed on my heart: a calling to share the insight He’s provided throughout my walk with Jesus.
I feel it important to note I have not attended seminary or received a degree in Theology, but I do believe I “have received the Holy Spirit, and he…teaches [me] everything [I] need to know, and what he teaches is true” (1 John 2:27 NLT). So ultimately, my humble intention is to share God’s Words of hope, encouragement and comfort because they are “sweet to the soul and healthy for the body” (Proverbs 16:24 NLT).
